Wedding Flower Color Palette

Wedding Flowers - Choosing Your Color Palette

Let's talk COLOR.
Whether you're getting married at a chapel in Denton or on a rooftop in Dallas, your color palette--especially the colors of your wedding flowers--can set the mood for your entire event.
Since we've been playing with palettes for the past 10 years, here are a few tips from the Lizzie Bee's team that can help make your wedding flowers unforgettable.
Limoncello-Inspired Wedding Colors
1. Choose Contrast
Color palettes that pop often harness the power of contrast, and there are so many different contrasting color combos that the sky's the limit! When working with your florist to design your perfect wedding day, think about what your wedding party will be wearing, the colors of your venue (brick red, clean white, or chestnut brown?). . . and let your florist build arrangements around bringing out those colors with contrasting florals.
Here are a few contrasting color combos we love:
- Cheery warm and calming cool colors
- Airy pastels and bold, bright tones
- Moody hues and powdery neutrals
Emerald & White Wedding Colors
2. Go For The Unexpected
The best way to shake up a traditional color palette? Choose a new neutral! Switching out black for navy, or brown for terracotta orange, can keep your color palette feeling fresh and modern--and stun your guests. Even the simplest gathering of white blooms can look lush and modern with emerald accents.
Here are a few twists on neutral color combos that we love:
- Clean white and gold with deep jewel tones (instead of black)
- Sandy shades with terracotta and rust (instead of brown or green)

3. When In Doubt, Ombré it Out
Confession time: we're suckers for an ombre wedding palette, because it allows us to create an organic, natural feel for every arrangement--no matter how wide the range of colors!
Here are a few of our favorite ombre palettes:
- Pastel purples that sink into deep berry hues
- Pretty pinks of ALL kinds, from "Ballet Slipper" to "Bright Fuschia"
- Bright yellows, warm oranges and rich browns

4. Keep It Timeless
Neutrals can be your best friend, and thankfully, Mother Nature has given us the most gorgeous array of flowers in colors like white and blush so that the "WOW" factor in your luxury wedding flowers is focused on otherworldy texture.
Here Are A Few Of Our Most Beloved Neutral Palettes:
- Cloud White and Lush Green
- Light Blush and Lacy White
