Paid Positions Available
Retail Assistant - This part-time position is designed for candidates with entry-level floral design experience but a background in and passion for retail sales and operations. The retail assistant provides our Designer bees and Retail Manager with daily assistance by taking customer orders in-shop and over the phone, processing fresh flower stems, and maintaining a clean retail and design environment by sweeping, cleaning buckets, etc. They keep retail displays looking fresh and ensure our retail plants are at their best by maintaining a regular watering schedule. This position is operations-focused, but has the potential for growth into design and communications opportunities.
Warehouse Assistant - This part-time position is designed for candidates with entry-level floral design experience but a background in and passion for event set-up and operations. The warehouse assistant provides our Designer bees and Event Manager with daily assistance by taking customer orders over the phone, processing fresh flower stems, and maintaining a clean design environment by sweeping, cleaning buckets, organizing hard goods, etc. This position is operations-focused, but has the potential for growth into design opportunities.
Customer Connections Specialist - This position is designed for candidates with a background in retail, communications, and/or social media management. No floral design experience is required! The Customer Communications Specialist specifically assists our Retail team by connecting retail customers with updated inventory, in-shop events, and beautiful shop displays by answering customer calls and emails, updating shop inventory online, maintaining our website, and creating social media content for our Retail Instagram and Facebook pages. The Customer Connections Specialist must be tech-savvy and willing to get creative with in-shop and online campaigns that reach customers in new and exciting ways while maintaining Lizzie Bee's unique voice and values. This position is communications-focused, and has the potential for growth into larger Marketing opportunities.
About Our Internships
Lizzie Bee's Internships are designed for future event professionals and florists-to-be who are looking for a little more hands-on experience before jumping into a paid design position or starting their own shop! Our internships are offered on a part-time basis with most work hours concentrated on the weekends, when we're at our busiest designing large-scale events! Internships consist of 3 months of committed assistance and learning opportunities, and are ideal for students who are expanding experience in the areas of design, event and hospitality management, and operations.
